Born and raised in Maryland, DeWayne spent much of his life growing up in Burtonsville, MD and graduated from Paint Branch High School in 2014 as a CDI scholar. With CDI’s assistance DeWayne was able to attend the University of Maryland, College Park. While a student at UMD he studied and graduated with a degree in Geographical Sciences while also obtaining a minor in GIS. DeWayne joined the CDI team in February 2022 with the goal of aiding in the organizations efforts that once helped him to advance more than he could have hoped for and impart his knowledge of the vastly beneficial CDI experience onto incoming scholars.
