Jenyia Wilson

Counselor

Jenyia was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She then moved to Buffalo, NY and earned her B.A. in Communications Studies with minors in both Sociology and Child, Family and Community Studies from Canisius College in 2018. She also continued her education at Canisius College and earned her M.S. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration in 2020. Jenyia is an alumnus of the Canisius College Higher Education Opportunity Program which supports students from first-generation, low-income and under resourced K-12 backgrounds. She also served as the program’s coordinator of academic support services prior to joining CDI. Jenyia's professional background consists of supporting college students through academic coaching, advising, and mentoring. She is passionate about helping traditionally underrepresented high school students work towards college graduation at an institution that best fits their needs. In her spare time Jenyia enjoys watching movies, painting, and singing!
